THE CONTEMPORARY WORLD IN REALISTIC IMAGES
1000 maps and flags (EPS Photoshop® format)
.
PRESENTATION
The
maps of the GEOATLAS® Bump series (World Bump, Europe
Bump, Africa Bump, America Bump, Asia Bump, Oceania Bump,
and France Bump) have been created using the GEOATLAS®
vector files and therefore provide the same outlines, views
and updated information. Their major advantage is the final
rendering, more spectacular, more realistic and more flexible,
for use on the new electronic media (Internet, videos, etc.).
The
Bump series provides over 500 realistic views, political or
physical, of planispheres, globes, maps of countries or regions
of the world, entirely compatible with all web pagemaking
and video graphics software.
Like
the Vector series, the Bump CD-ROMs also include 210 flags
of countries and international institutions.

GRAPHICAL
CHARACTERISTICS
A
image in bitmap mode (BUMP) consists in a set of pixels.
The
display quality of a bitmap Image depends on the size and
definition of the Image.
Bitmap
files can be used with retouching software but may also be
imported into certain vector drawing softwares.

FORMATS
EPS
format ( bitmap mode )
Adobe®
Photoshop® compressed JPEG (high quality) 300 DPI CMYK
EPS files: This format is particularly designed for use with
traditional desktop publishing systems for high definition,
four-colour printing. Just as in vector mode, the user can
modify the map to customize the colours and all the graphic
elements in Adobe® Photoshop®, and reframe, enlarge
or reduce the file in Adobe® PageMaker®, Quark®
XPress® or any other professional software that allows
EPS imports (Director®, Bryce 3D®, CyberStudio®,
etc.).
JPEG
format
Adobe®
Photoshop® 72 DPI RGB JPEG (high quality) files: Given
the flexibility of its size, this Bitmap format is easy to
use, ideal for multimedia incorporation or video graphics.
You can also import the maps into most standard drawing softwares.
EPS
format ( vectorial mode)
These
files contain typographic legends. See the chapter on Legends
for information on the characteristics of these files.

TYPOGRAPHIC
LEGENDS
The
user can combine legends using fonts Ogr1, Ogr2 and Ogr3 with
a background map. These legends, in English and the local
official language, are contained in the Vector Legends folder.
The legends have been vectorized, so each character is treated
as a graphic object.
